Primary Mage Tree Skills (updated for 4.3)
Mage glyphs give bonuses or change how spells and talents work. At level 85 your mage will have 9 glyphs that they can use for each in each of their specs. Once a glyph is learned you do not have to learn it again. The glyphs you use should complement the tree, build or even dungeon you are focusing on. You can easily change your glyphs when not in battle so don't be afraid to play with them to see what works best for you.
Best mage glyphs to be used depending on what type of mage you are:
Arcane Mage Glyphs:
Primary Mage Glyphs: Arcane Blast,
Arcane Missiles,
Mage Armor
Major Mage Glyphs: Polymorph, Arcane Power, Evocation
Minor Mage Glyphs: Mirror Image, Conjuring
Fire Mage Glyphs:
Prime Mage Glyphs: Molten Armor, Pyroblast, Fireball
Optional: Living Bomb - for large AOE encounters, this can replace the Glyph of Fireball
Major Mage Glyphs: Evocation, Polymorph, Blink
Minor Mage Glyphs: Mirror Image, Conjuring
Frost Mage Glyphs:
Prime Mage Glyphs: Deep Freeze, Glyph of Frostfire, Molten Armor(should be used while under the crit soft cap of 33%, if over the soft cap then replace this with Glyph of Frostbolt)
Major Mage Glyphs: The two I recomend are: Evocation, Polymorph(Pick whatever goes best with your playstyle for the third)
